Vendor Spotlight: Mother Mary’s Meats

Mary Miller of Mother Mary’s Meats and Miller Farms is new to the Indiana County Farmers Market this year, but is not new to farming. “We have raised and sold beef for three generations,” says Mary about herself, her husband Tony, and sons Michael and Tony Jr. “We raise approximately 20-25 head of cattle for beef each year.” When Mary is not busy with Mother Mary’s Meats, she enjoys sewing, quilting, and gardening. She has long been involved in Treasure Seekers Community Club as the organizational leader, teaching food and sewing classes.

Mother Mary’s Meats offers Beef by the quarter, half, or whole as well as ground beef, cuts, and bones. Pork is also available as sausage, bacon, chops, and by the half or whole.

When you stop by their tent at the market, you are likely to meet Mary’s brother Mike. Both Mike and Mary are super fun to talk to, so you won’t regret giving them a visit. Mike enjoys growing vegetables in his free time, so be sure to swap gardening tips and tricks when you chat! They’d love to tell you about how they raise their livestock and make cooking recommendations.
