How does the Snap Benefits work at the Market?

      Here’s a step-by-step example:
      1. Go to the Info Booth at the Saturday market
      2. Swipe your EBT card with our cashier for the amount of SNAP you’d like to spend. Let’s say that’s $20
      3. Receive $20 in SNAP tokens to spend on SNAP-eligible foods at the market (meat, vegetables, eggs, etc.)
      4. Receive $20 additional in market vouchers to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables at the market.
      5. Spend $40 in combined SNAP & market vouchers at the market

We match up to $20 per visit, but you don’t have to spend that much, or you may spend more!
$5 in SNAP = $5 in market vouchers
$35 in SNAP = $20 in market vouchers

Our Info Booth volunteers would be happy to walk you through it all at the Info Booth on Saturdays!
