Specialty Crop Nutrition Education at the Farmers’ Market
Expert nutrition educators will be available at a Saturday market at least once per month. Educators will promote the following regarding local seasonal specialty crops:
- Nutrition information
- Meal planning ideas
- Easy preparation methods
- Recipe cards
- Recipe sampling
What are “Specialty Crops”?
- Fruits
- Vegetables
- Herbs
- Honey & Maple Syrup
- Tree Nuts
- Edible plants, seeds, and seedlings
Where?
At at least one Saturday Indiana County Farmer’s Market per month. The Saturday Market is from 9AM-12PM on S. 8th & Church St. behind S&T Bank in downtown Indiana.
