This survey is being hosted by the Indiana County Conservation District and is to guide the efforts of a collective of local organizations and farmers who are working to foster collaboration and growth for local farmers while improving local food access.
Responses will be used to help guide strategic planning efforts and future community engagement in the possible development of a food hub. A food hub can take many forms– generally, as defined by the USDA, a food hub is “a business or organization that actively manages the aggregation, distribution and marketing of source-identified food products primarily from local and regional producers to strengthen their ability to satisfy wholesale, retail, and institutional demand”.
