Dear Farmers Market Community,
While we love dogs, pets pose some potential issues for farmers markets around food safety and customer experiences. We prefer that dogs are left at home. Service animals are always permitted.
- Dogs must be leashed
- Dog interactions with other patrons must be consensual and safe
- Dogs must be able to interact well with other dogs and people
- Dogs must be comfortable in crowds
- Dogs must not touch products or go under vendor tables
- Dogs must not relieve themselves in the market area
- Please wash hands after interacting with pets and before touching products
- Although barking is natural for dogs, please understand that this scares some people
Please consider whether the market is an appropriate place for your pet. Thank you for helping us to keep our market a safe and welcoming space!
The Farmers Market management reserves the right to ask you to remove your pets from the market area.
PA Department of Agriculture regulations do not permit pets inside food preparation and storage areas. No animals are permitted on the market premises with the exception of service animals. PA Dept. Ag Act 106.
Service animals are permitted.
