Volunteer at the Market

Zinnias

As a volunteer-run organization, the Indiana County Farmers’ Market relies on the input of good people like you to get things done!

Lend a hand on the Saturdays of your choosing to make this market go ’round.

What Do Volunteers Do?

When you volunteer on Saturdays you are a Market Attendant. Market Attendants help to support the Info Booth including general setup and tear down, and also participate in customer counts and surveying to ensure the market is collecting the data it needs for organizational and grant writing purposes.

You will most often find your self at the Info Booth alongside our lead volunteer operating the distribution of our Matching Program vouchers, answering customer questions, and distributing outreach and educational materials. On select days, Market Attendants will take visitor counts, survey vendors, and encourage visitor participation in our customer survey. Please note that while being a market attendant typically involves moving items like tents, tables, and chairs, please let us know if you cannot do this–we will designate this part to someone else, and there is plenty to do that does not require lifting.

Volunteer shifts are from 8AM – 12:30PM at S. 8th St & Church St, Indiana, PA 15701
